Hello Janis! 01 Jan 14 13:10, you wrote to me: JK> In Z1Regcon, we've been discussing Makenl_NG's problems with the Z1 R17C JK> and R19C who are still having problems, and Andrew I believe is working on JK> a fix... JK> R17C's problem may have been fixed by running a DOS version of 3.4.1, JK> we're waiting to hear about that. So why is he switching to a dos version now. If that works he could have done so last year. That would have saved a lot of work tracking down a bug in the Wattcom compiler. Or is there a hope, that now thw OS2 version works, some flaw can be found with the DOS version. He should try his magic cut and paste function. There are no problems in makenl_ng, the software has been in development for almost 10 years. You have been using it for at least four. There is no software in the world that has such a long lead time. What will happen if there are no more excuses on the RC level, are the tests then extended to the Host level. Many of them have to be compliant as well if they are to supply a net segment to the RC's. For the other zones to be able to switch only you have to be able to process the composite list with allowunpub enabled. The Zone 2,3,4 segments are not processed by RC17 nor by RC19. If you enable allowunpub when processing the composite list, fidonet outside Z1 can move on, and you have all the time in the world to sort out how to get makenl working. Now I have the feeling we are led by the nose. With aplogies for losing my temper. Kees --- FPD v2.9.040207 GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5 * Origin: As for me, all I know is that, I know nothing. (2:280/5003.4) |
