I do have an operational OS/2 system here; in fact that's where the last few 
OS/2 releases were compiled.  I'm currently working on resolving the issues 
that have been reported with the OS/2 version; however it is taking a bit of 
time as I'm having to step through the code in a debugger trying to locate 
where things go haywire.

The Allow8Bit change should be fairly easy to implement, once the current 
issues are resolved.
