MBSE also creates configuration files for MsgEd.  I haven't tried building 
either GoldED+ or MsgEd on a Pi, so I can't help with that (yet.)

Joe v3.7 works with no issues here.  Later versions changed something that 
causes the integration with the BBS to fail.  Ken Bowley was working on fixing 
that, but I haven't heard from him for a few weeks.
