Hi everyone,
This is an official release from the MBSE Development Team.
If you install MBSE in any other directory besides /opt, we will not support
this.
From the MBSE docs ("MBSE BBS Basic Installation"):
"MBSE BBS is default installed in /opt/mbse [on GNU/Linux]. It should be
possible to install the bbs in a different location but this is not
supported. Many have tried, and and only a few have succeeded. See
Filesystem Hierarchy Standard for more info."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard
TL;DR: Install MBSE anywhere but /opt and you're your own tech support.
(Note: this doesn't apply for FreeBSD where FreeBSD will install MBSE in
/usr/local/opt.)
