That should not affect your Linux system in any way. I could not find a phone number for them either but I did see on https://www.virginmedia.com/help/contact-us/fix-an-issue/broadband-tv-phone that they do have a "Message Us" button that reads: "Our team is available Monday until Sunday, 8am until 10pm. We aim to get back to you as soon as we can, but this might take longer if you get in touch outside of our opening hours." I don't know if that will help any but at least you shouldn't have any issues with blocked ports. -- Sean ...
