MSGID: 2:250/1@fidonet 624628aa CHRS: UTF-8 2 TZUTC: 0100 TID: MBSE-FIDO 1.0.8 (Linux-x86_64) Hello All! 1. I seem to get odd issues from time to time in the Jam message base so that mbmsg does not function or locks up. Is there some s/w (software) that will examine one or more jam bases and report on status and offer to repair it ? 2. More importantly I run the ELIST echo system and that takes as input a submission file sent directly to my node at 2:25/21 That works, but for some moderators their s/w cannot handle sending in a file even as an attachment to a netmail so the questions are : 2A. Is it possible to support a second message system msg so that all messages have one file name and these tend to be in the format of n.msg where n = 1 incremented by 1 for each new msg. This is only for use in one of my netmail areas so that I can read each one present and copy over the content minus any read tape (i.e., kludges etc) and create a submission file for each one and when the file is successfully created delete the msg as I assume that is the only way of coping with what has and has not been read. This was the message base I think that was available with SBBS - so long ago I just cannot remember. So mbsetup to support it by allowing an option to override the standard JAM base by selecting MSG format when setting up an echo area such as for netmail area/s. mbfido for tossing to a msg base area. 2B. May be a lot easier: A way of exporting a Jam messagebase as individual files for each msg saved as a text file with an option to delete each one after the save is successful. Again this is only for a netmail area. Anyone have any ideas ?
