A week before my appointment with a Doctor I went to Radiology and Laboratory
for tests.
When I saw the Doctor he looked at the reports and said they were good.
I told him "No one has to pay me to be good, I'm good for nothing.".

The Doctor liked that and asked where I learned that saying, so I told him I
made it up by myself.

After getting home I was thinking if I may had been repeating one of the Abbot
and Costello routines such as Whos On First or I Can Prove You Are Not Here.
Or I could have seen it in a Burma Shave message.

I thought to write you to see if you have heard that saying before, since you
post some sayings like that, or maybe someone reading this has heard this "Good
for nothing" phrase.
 and can enlighten me.
