This   is   a  forum  for  the  discussion  of  professional
baseball. All teams, including  their  farm  clubs,  players,
stats,  you name it. IF it touches the world of professional
baseball in NOrth America it's  a  welcome  topic  for  this
echomail conference.

Usual  rules of echomail etiquette apply in this conference.
This includes keeping to the topic,  reasonable  signatures,
and the requisite use of your real name.

This  echomail  conference  is  intended  to  be  a friendly
welcoming  place  for  those  who  have   an   interest   in
professional  baseball.  When  the  topic  drifts take it to
another  conference,  or  to  netmail.  Like  politics   and
religion  people  can  have strong opinions when it comes to
the game of baseball.  Just remember, keep it friendly.

The usenet newsgroups devoted to professional sports  appear
to  this  moderator to be a cyber wasteland of spam and junk
with no relevant content, or very little. THerefore,  Gating
this   echomail   conference   outside  of  FIdonet  without
moderator  approval  is  forbidden.  Posting   of   material
originating  elsewhere  which  is  pertinent  to the echo is
strongly encouraged however.

Any gateway to and from this echomail conference must function
in both directions.  Users of the conference should be able
to send posts through it as well as read them.  In addition,
the operator of any such gate is responsible for all traffic
entering the conference from it.  Should material inappropriate
for posting in this echo originates from that gate the
moderator will  request that the gate cease automatically
posting in the echo.  If you would wish to provide a gateway
to a usenet group or mailing list it is suggested that you
monitor the source for a time to assure yourself that posts
inappropriate to the ml_baseball echo will not be automatically
gated to the conference.  This moderator has a zero tolerance
policy for spam.

Moderation issues will be  handled  outside  the  conference
whenever  possible.  If  you offer echomail to users you are
asked to provide them access to any communications sent from
the  moderator  of  this  conference  to  them  via  fidonet
netmail. Also, you are asked  to  please  make  these  rules
available  to  them  when  they first access the conference.
This should not be difficult as  they  are  posted  monthly.
Remember  that  you  as the nodelisted sysop are responsible
for all traffic originated by your users.
