There is nothing wrong with that. You are using UTF-8 so that is what is
reported. The terminal server (telnet, rlogin, ssh) seems to be a little more
dynamic. My terminal is also UTF-8 capable and if I were to type using UTF-8
characters it would report UTF-8 also but if I only type with ascii characters
it uses a CHRS of ASCII 1.
It's all good and when your CHRS says UTF-8 it is speaking the truth.
When you type an apostrophe now it looks good and is much easier to read that
before.
