For awhile when I was reading Game of Thrones, I tended to listen to the
audiobook while reading the eBook.  It helped me keep focus on the story as it
tended to jump around quite a bit along with the myriad of characters.

As I was reading before bed I tried dark mode which I didn't like, but there
was also a sepia mode which I found more pleasing on the eyes at the end of
the day.  I do have a Kobo ereader as well which supports EPUB files which I
did use in the same manor, but sometimes it was hard to re-sync my place in
the EPUB & audiobook.
