I think the key is to NOT use the term "BBS", at first.  Simply  
refer to Fidonet/othernet message areas as alternatives to the  
FB/TikTok/Twitter places, but cater to a more pure message  
style.

Then, a good intro might be assisting with a Hotdoged/ 
Aftershock installation. Or even easier, installing Telegram,  
and getting things going with the %HELP command to the  
@Fido2telegram bot!  :D
