They are most certainly called apps. But I haven't bothered  
with anything recent, except for Telegram.

I had WhatsApp parked in the wings, ready for an install, but  
after the big Facebook scandal, I decided to not bother with it  
and delete it.

In total, I've probably only added 8 apps over the years, and  
removed 3 of them.

The Blackberry Q10 has a 2.25"x2.25" screen. That's primarily  
why I don't call it "a fancy smartphone".
