08 Oct 2021 09:29, you wrote to me:

How strange!
Did you do a rescan?

I tried disabling write access to the Fido provider app in my phone, and it
works anyway... :-?

The other day I made a small experiment:
I re-attached the last .PKT that my HotdogEd point had already tossed, and
once processed the messages were shown as new (unread). They were just
appended to the message list -- it seems this app doesn't check for dupes.

But that is not what was/is happening to you, I guess.

Well, I suppose that is app is not ready for (almost) all devices...

Have you tried the NNTP provider? (I think that your system has Fido-nntp
access). It also works fine for me (tested with Tommi's jamnntpd server).
