I don't since I just have a phone and don't use it much but my lady friend has
an external changer that she keeps charged up so she can take it with her if
we are out and about she can charge up her tablet/phone if need be.

That I am not sure of. I think the battery pack is charged with a USB
connection. To change the phone you plug a usb cord into the charger with a
plug that fits your phone. If that plug is not working this method wouldn't
work.
