I have a Blackberry that was simply given to me because the original owner had
no success getting the port fixed - or they simply didn't want to be without
phone access for too long and gave up with it. At first, the "tech" experts
just thought that the battery was faulty. So, the owner then ended up with two
batteries!   

But my solution was to just charge the batt externally.  I found a nice simple
charger kit that included a fresh OEM battery.  Now, I simply cycle the
batteries in the charger and always have a fully charged spare to grab and go.

Ubreakifix sounds interesting.  I'll suggesy my friend request a quote for the
fun of it.
