I reserve judgment to all the facts are in but this is what is known so far:
1.  The gun was being used for "target practice" during off filming hours.
This is a major no-no. A gun used for a movie is supposed to be locked down
when not being used for scene.
2. Union members had walked off the set earlier to what they sited as unsafe
conditions. (Those conditions where not specified in the news story)

A full investigation needs to take place and any parties that did not properly
follow the rules for gun safety on a movie set need to be charged with
involuntary manslaughter.
