 I was born in 1978.  This means I never knew a time when a princess could not
be an ass-kicking, snarky heroine in a film.  The character that Carrie Fisher
brought to life in Star Wars changed the world.  She will be deeply missed,
not only for Princess Leia Organa, but for her wit, her fight to normalize
mental ilnesses, and her larger-than-life personality.  The entire world is a
much better place for having known her.
