The moderator's opinion:
 
I just learned that Warner Bros. has hired Mel Gibson, whom I like very much,
to direct, co-write and executive produce a remake of Sam Peckinpah's 1969
classic, The WIld Bunch.
 
I won't see it.  I have the original and to remake something like that is akin
to painting over the Mona Lisa.
 
A sad day indeed.
