   I'm not sure how a party "enters red ink", but British Columbia, under   
   an NDP government, left a balanced budget with even a surplus.   
   Since the not-so-'liberal' Liberals took power, we've never seen a   
   balanced budget.   
      
   I think you need to remember that the Conservatives have a deficit so   
   great that they're now saying in the media: 'our focus will not be so   
   much on reducing the deficit as reducing the debt'.  IOW . . .  'you   
   Canadians are going to be feeling the hard times for a long time yet   
   because we can't do what we promised fiscally'.
