I saw some of the Quebec people from Lac Megantic watching as those
three employees were moved into the courthouse - in handcuffs and
chains. Seems 'someone' is trying really hard to make it look like
serious action is being taken for the disaster. Only trouble was, those
interviewed in the watching crowd of Lac Megantic residents weren't
buying the show. Several said they wanted to see charges against those
"higher up" in the company to be arrested and charged.

If all documents seized by police had the corporate stamp of the
now-defunct MM&A company affixed to them, police would have no choice
but to lay charges against the company, which is a separate entity from
the asshole we know as Ed Burkhardt - because of incorporation and the
protection it gives to the 'individual'. However, it doesn't mean that
Burkhardt won't ultimately be charged, if it can be shown HE was the one
making decisions behind the scenes - like demanding a one-engineer
exemption. And when THAT issue comes up in a courtroom, you can bet
Harper and his Cons will have to explain why THEY gave them that exemption.

I think it's too early to predict that Burkhardt is off the hook. There
are 5 listed on MM&A's 'management team'. All or most of them could end
up being charged. Harper and his Cons will be on the hot seat along
   with them.
