Those were THE programs to use back in the day when Winamp was king and before
iTunes was around.  AudioGrabber was out first and then someone bought the
rights to it and it became AudioCatalyst.

I used VBR MP3s back in the day to save on space, I didn't really notice a
difference in audio quality and the space savings were marginal, but enough
that I could get 14 or 15 MP3s on my 32MB MP3 player instead of just 12 songs.
