Saw Joel at a stadium concert in Ottawa in the 80's. The stage was rigged up
on one of the broad sides of the arena. My two seats were at the far narrow
end, an upper tier to Joel's left. It was not particularly good seating so
high and far away. I could barely appreciate the visual entertainment. Joel
*did* acknowledge the audiences at the far wings a few times. But following
that experience I swore I would never go to another arena concert unless I
could be a few feet from the stage. I had a pair of binoculars with me. But I
would rather look through the glass of a TV set than a pair of binoculars.
