I referring to the guitar. It's surprising because hardly
anyone chats enough about their lives to describe the other
interests they might have. The usual chat is about computers,
and that's it.

I briefly tried guitar (it did not seem to be a very good one -
and needed frequent retuning) ..and my fingers got a bit too
sore. An electric bass guitar might have been more suitable -
but I didn't have that option at the time. I like the idea of a
portable intrument like a guitar and feel envious of those who
carry that instrument with them and can just play any time they
want.

I stared with a melodica (a blow instrument with a keyboard).
That was reasonably portable, but the sound was bit distinctive
and not suitable for every occassion like a guitar would work.

Then, I eventually migrated to an electric organ, and then to a
real piano that my parents obtained for $100 in the mid 70s.

During my musical development between the melodica and the
piano, I discovered that I had an almost natural skill for the
harmonica too.

I imagined that I could rock the accordion, but I never had the
chance to play with one more than a few minutes each time.
