Yes, you can still install it but it is dead. It was depricated in 2020.

I'm not sure why the divide between Python2 and 3 but Python3 is is where it
continues to be developed and updated.

I haven't installed Python2 at this point, I might but I'd rather not just
because it is depricated and there will be no more updates.
