I, a nearly 70 year old white male, know       what is appropriate here.              Cooper should agree to cooperate with the DA, but only under a rather       unusual set of conditions. He should say he'll cooperate *IF*, and *ONLY*       if, the DA agrees to prosecute the "Karen" on the lowest possible charge,       *and* to seek a sentence involving no incarceration.              Mr. Cooper apparently feels she has already paid a steep price, and I think       he's right. She is virtually unemployable, at least for any position like       the prominent one she held with Franklin. But she should *not* escape       scot-free from the criminal system. She committed a crime. She *needs* to       pay, if only to discourage future "Karens." A suspended sentence - or       maybe some community service - would be appropriate. The key point is she       must be convicted, and Mr. Cooper needs to understand that.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
