   NEW YORK CITY (TND) — A transgender activist from New York City has been   
   arrested on multiple charges associated with an attempt to sexually abuse   
   a minor.   
      
   Lailani Muniz, 39, a trans and HIV activist in the Bronx LGBT community,   
   was arrested on October 20 after allegedly contacting an underage boy   
   online and arranging to meet with him, according to News 12 Bronx.   
      
   Muniz set up a meeting with the boy who investigators said Muniz had been   
   speaking to since March on the dating app Grindr, Fox News added.   
      
   Muniz’s misdemeanor charges include one count of attempted forcible   
   touching, attempted sexual abuse in the third degree, one count of   
   attempted endangering the welfare of a child and two other associated   
   charges related to attempted sex acts with a minor.   
      
   Muniz allegedly acknowledged the age of the supposed teenager prior to   
   soliciting him for oral sex, according to Fox News.   
      
   However, the supposed teen Muniz thought she was talking to was actually a   
   man who runs an anti-child predator initiative in New York City called   
   Creeps Spotlight.   
      
   “So what are you doing, meeting up with a minor?” an individual who is   
   reportedly Muniz is asked, in a video from the Creeps Spotlight YouTube   
   channel.   
      
   In the video, Muniz denied she ever sought to commit sex acts with the   
   supposed minor, but texts she allegedly sent tell a different story.   
      
   “We trying to get a jacuzzi room,” Muniz sent the decoy posing as a minor,   
   according to screenshots of alleged texts she sent posted on the Creeps   
   Spotlight Facebook page. “Its fun, well be naked and it’s a nice size   
   room. We can all get in the jacuzzi,” she added. “Well have fun and well   
   have weed and maybe some E pills.”
