[continued from previous message]              way, with taxpayer dollars. And he was appreciated for it. And what he did       was very nice. It was necessary. And there’s nothing wrong with what the       President’s doing. I think it’ll be really appreciated down the road. I       guarantee if the Democrats Ever take the White House. And they will, God       forbid, they’ll make maximum use of that extra space in that ballroom. They       just hate Trump. It’s that simple. They hate the country, they hate Israel,       they hate Trump, they hate you and me. All right, I want you to hear some of       this when we return. I’ll be right back.              Segment 3       To his great credit, the President is holding firm. He’s holding tough. He       needs to. He needs to. Now on the government issue, on this quote, unquote,       shutdown and you know, people are putting out statements, senators and       others. It’ll be over by the end of the week. Well, uh, isn’t today Thursday?       Mr. No. Wednesday? Tuesday? The hell have I been? It’s Tuesday. Well, we’re       getting there. Here’s the President in the Rose Garden today. Cut one, go.       And I want to just say from the beginning, our message has been very simple.       We will not be extorted on this crazy plot of theirs. They’ve never done this       before. Nobody has. You always vote for an extension. Chuck Schumer and the       Senate Democrats need to vote for the clean, bipartisan CR& reopen our       government. It’s got to be, uh, reopened right now. We’re not doing that.       They are the obstructionists. And, uh, the reason they’re doing it is because       we’re doing so well. We’re doing well all over the world. We’re doing well       with the close to $20 trillion that I just told you about. It will be that       number. But even if you take it down to over 17, that’s a guarantee we’re       doing well with everything. And they want to scuttle it, they want to       sabotage it, and then they want to blame Trump and the Republicans. This is       all about their inter party fighting and it’s all about the midterm       elections. That’s it. That’s all it is. Cut to go. Today I’m calling on       every Senate Democrat to stop the madness, to let our country get back in the       greatest moment in the history of our country in terms of wealth, in terms       of, uh, job creation, and in terms of investment coming in. These guys go on       strike. It’s really a shame. So I’m asking them to be smart. It’s not       working. They’re getting killed in the polls. The public understands what       they’re doing. They’re doing the wrong thing. Mm. Now, uh, John Fetterman,       he’s voted with the Republicans. A couple of the Democrats have just, uh,       need a couple more Democrats. I told you, I like this guy, and I do. He’s       really grown in office, quite frankly. He’s grown on me. He’s grown on many       of you. He’s very gutsy because they’re definitely going to try and take him       out, and we will deal with that, and we will defend him, quite frankly. Cut       three, go. Some of your Republican colleagues have proposed nuking the       filibuster to force the government to reopen. What do you. Yeah, of course.       Of course. Carve it out for that absolute. Absolutely. We ran on that. We       ran on killing the filibuster, and now we love it. You know, it’s like, stop       a second. He’s saying narrowly carve it out when it comes to budgets, which       is actually a pretty smart idea, I think. But listen to what he says. We ran       on killing the filibuster. All of a sudden, we love it. We love it. Carve it       out so we can move on. Go ahead. So we can move on. And I support it because       it makes it more difficult to shut the government in the future. And that’s       where it’s entirely appropriate. And I don’t want to hear any Democrat       clutching their pearls about the filibuster. We all ran on it. I ran on that.        Ah, they all hate him. See, the guy tells the truth. The guy is down the       line, pretty much in the middle. Not always. Don’t get me wrong. There’s       certain things I strongly disagree with them, but there’s certain things they       strongly disagree with Republicans on. But the point is, if you take out a       Democrat like this, you’re never going to have moderate Democrats. And they       want to purify their party. They’ve been purifying it for decades. And so       you’re stuck with the Mandamis and the Bernie Sanders and the AOCs and the       Talibs and the rest of the reprobates. Here’s Mike Johnson today at the press       conference. Cut four, go. Another insider said in that same story, quote, we       would have enough votes to reopen the government if people were not terrified       of getting the guillotine. Okay, they mean it metaphorically, but in a       political sense, that’s exactly what they’re concerned about. Now, think       about the fact that we’re just laying out here. These are simple facts. We       come out here every morning and Remind the American people of what’s going       on. Do not let them distract you from the facts. The American people would       have an open government if Democrats were not terrified of their radical       base. That is the headline. Every single one of you should write that. That’s       the ugly truth. The Democrats are not governing in good faith. They’re       covering their own tail. They’re out here decrying the so called, uh,       forthcoming health care crisis. They say it’s the one that they themselves       created. The Democrats created Obamacare. They’re the ones that created a       subsidy with an expiration date. They’re the ones that did all of this.       Republicans are trying to fix it, and they’re trying to blame Republicans for       the crisis they themselves created. They cry foul when. When we won’t bail       them out of their own shutdown. I don’t have anything to offer. As I’ve       explained, I don’t have any partisan priority. I can pull off of the CR to       make it more palatable for them. There’s nothing to negotiate. Brilliant.       The guy’s brilliant. And the way he put it is brilliant. They created       Obamacare. They, they created the one year limit on subsidies. They are the       ones that voted against the continuing resolution. And so he’s saying, what       are we negotiating? Vote for the continuing resolution. We will debate this       issue with Obamacare and subsidies simultaneously, parallel with voting for       the continuing resolution. And now Bernie Sanders and the Democrats are       saying, no, we don’t want a vote on it. We want your support for what we want       to do, which are massive subsidies in a program that just keeps gobbling up       money in a health care, uh, really system that does not serve the public       properly. Obamacare is not liked by people who have it. It’s not liked by       people who have it. It’s a lousy program, and you’re paying an enormous       amount for it, and so is the government. I want you to listen to Hakeem       Jeffries. Why? It’s painful, but he’s a demagogue. He’s a propagandist. He’s       got his sloganeering down. As I discussed in chapter four on. On Power       language. That’s all he’s got. He’s got his sloganeering. Cut six go. Uh,       Donald Trump definitively needs to get involved. He needs to get off the       sidelines, get off the golf course. So let’s stop right there. Get off the       sidelines. Get off the golf course now. Uh, this is a guy that covered for       Biden who lived on the sidelines. In fact, he lived in the, uh, in the       Dugout. He lived in the bleachers. To suggest that Donald Trump is busy       playing golf all the time. He’s allowed to play golf. I mean, the guy works       like a dog, 16 hours a day, maybe more, on a thousand issues a day. So for       this guy, Hakeem Jeffries, who accomplishes zero, who does absolutely nothing              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
