Whereas the cabs in       the M2/4/6 were largely toggle switches and relays, the M8 was a       completely different set up. In essence, it is a computer on flanged       wheels and you need to know how to work with the interfaces. On top of       that, there are different safety systems, a completely different       controller etc.              Weights are different, acceleration and braking are different.              In a word, it is a completely different type of train.              Yes, I'm sure that people could figure it out, and I could as well. But       being familiar with something and actually working with something are       different things.              These are not the best images, but I hope that they demonstrate the       differences between an M2 and an M8.              M2:              https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8154/7646374962_a2a26cdd3d_z.jpg              M8:              http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1c/MTA_Metro_Nor       h_M8_Control_Cab.jpg              https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8154/7646374962_a2a26cdd3d_z.jpg              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
