   "Sadly"? It was an innovation not too many years ago to add such things on   
   the maps and to make the neighborhood the principal information on the   
   destination signs.   
      
   If I had a need to get from Eighth Ave. to First Ave., I wouldn't need to   
   know, or think, I was heading for Canarsie.
