From: michaelwares0@gmail.com              I'm sorry to have to report that Raymond F. Crapo has died.              He was a friend and neighbor. There was little that he didn't know about the       transit system, electric railways, or The Bronx, and he was always glad to       share his knowledge. His 1978 book, The Environment of the Traction Era: a       Brief Study of the        Electric Traction Industry in Its American Setting, reflected his interest in       not only the technology of transportation, but its social and economic       environment.              Ray had been active with the Shore Line museum, the Bronx Historical Society,       and the New York Division of the E.R.A. Wake today, Thursday, at the Hodder       Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers (near Kimball Avenue);       funeral Friday at St.        Barnabas Church, Bronx (Martha Avenue and 241st Street).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
