Back then       the museum was mostly in its original condition, not extensively rebuilt as it       is today.              I've visited the museum at various times over the years, so I don't need       to see pictures.              Thanks, however, for the suggestion.              >> I'm also guessing that the fact that Court Street is now a museum full       >> of various types of rolling stock make it difficult to run any fan trips       >> between there and Hoyt-Schermerhorn. They DO operate fan trips from the museum from time to       time. I think they're up to $50 now.              That cheap? I would think that they would be a lot more, conisdering the       fact that they would have to move out those trains and lay them up       somewhere, which takes time and money. Plus, I don't know that all crews       are going to be qualified to operate all types of trains, which is       another factor to consider.              After they run the fan trip, then they have to put the other trains back       in the order, in which they came.              Does NYCT's insurance for passengers also cover the stretch from       Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Court Street?              How much is an excursion to City Hall, by the way? I can't in that case       see that as being very expensive, considering the fact that the loop is       open for passenger service and there is no real disruption in scheduling.              Has NYCT ran fan trips on the Bowling Green Shuttle since its closure? I       seem to remember seeing some years ago an older train laid up at Bowling       Green, well after revenue service was discontinued. It was older than an       R-12, I might add.              Would NYCT also do excursions to other closed stations, such as Worth       Street or 91st Street?              Here in London, they ran a special train for its final revenue run in       2012, which cost £40. They ran a steam-hauled train through the tunnels       to celebrate the Undergound's 150th anniversary; The only way you could       acquire tickets was through a lottery. This lottery was only for the       chance to acquire a ticket, however, the price for which was up to £300.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
