That is, HR choose candidates and decide on       whether or not a person should be chosen or not for a position, rather       than a manager or his deputy.              In many cases those people in HR have little to no understanding of a       certain position and what it actually entails or what a manager may       actually be seeking. This has had very bad results for a company in some       cases.              I have also seen and heard of cases were it is HR that essentially       oversees day-to-day operations, and can independently decide what to do       with an employee, whilst a manager has little authority to act on it.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
