   My guess is that company margins are being squeezed these days, and they   
   want to be able to jump on anybody and everybody who they perceive might   
   not fit HR's ideal.   
      
   A friend of mine here in London has noted that this is happening in his   
   company and that several very good and sought-after candidates with   
   valuable experience were simply passed over, because the moron in HR   
   simply had no idea what she was looking at when they examined those   
   individuals' CVs.   
      
   It would appear that there was either no guidance from the department   
   seeking employees or that HR simply did not listen.
