   The Q currently does not serve downtown. It turns off at Canal St. to the   
   Manhattan Bridge. Maybe the T will go 125-Whitehall, but meanwhile a Q to   
   Brooklyn isn't particularly helpful.

   There must be a reason that there have almost always been two lines to Astoria.
