   A Red Line train with passengers on board departed from Braintree Station   
   Thursday morning without an operator, and transit officials are   
   investigating whether the T train had been tampered with.   
      
   The driverless train traveled north past North Quincy Station at about 6   
   a.m. before MBTA operators de-powered the third rail, bringing the train   
   to a stop.
