   At 125th you'd be far better off taking the 4-5-6 directly to Grand Central   
   Station. If you're starting from 125th & St. Nick, take the M60 SBS to   
   Lexington.

   But the D doesn't take him to Times Square. It takes him to Sixth Ave. with a   
   cockamamie connection to the Fifth Avenue station on the 7. In fact neither   
   the D nor the 7 station is accessible.

   That's the A C E.   
      
   You can just as easily "hop on" the A at 125th. Then your only problem is the   
   block-long tunnel to Times Square which is not accessible -- probably because   
   there's an overly steep ramp  partway through.
