|    Columbus Avenue Station    |

XPost: misc.transport.rail.americas              Where can I find any information online about the old Columbus Avenue       station on the New Haven Line?              I stress that I am referring the station on the New Haven Line, and not       on the New York Westchester & Boston, which ceased operating in late 1937.              IIRC, the station on the New Haven Line closed in 1972.              Can anybody also direct me to any pictures of Columbus Avenue,       preferrably without the viaduct?              Lastly, has Metro-North or the MTA examined the prospect of reactivating       that station? At least three new stations have opened on the upper New       Haven over the past 10 years, though I am sure that CDOT had something       to do with that.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
