   (1) They said it happened "in the passageway between the Shuttle and the   
   1-2-3."   
   I wouldn't call that wide open space a "passageway"; could it have been that   
   awful tunnel between Times Square and the Eighth Avenue station?   
      
   (2) Shumita Basu says trains are "being rerouted" around the stations. Everyone   
   else, of course, is saying they are "bypassing" the stations.   
      
   The latest is that it was "a pipe bomb that went off prematurely," but the   
   bomber   
   himself was not seriously wounded.   
      
   So now we have _two_ terrorists who were not immediately executed, and will be   
   required to explain themselves. (The other being the truck-driver who attacked   
   the bike path near Battery Park City.)
