Did New York Central ever consider running Putnam line trains directly
into GCT via Fordham Heights, or were there space considerations to
consider with Harlem and Hudson line trains as well as with NYNHHRR?

Also, was there ever any thought of truncating either the line itself or
   service?

I am guessing, however, you are going to tell me that the Putnam was on
NYC's hit list well before 1958.
