    Yeah but.....   
      
   I left NYC just about the time that it was introduced (early 1960s).   
   It re-appeared in San Francisco at one intersection on Montgomery   
   Street - in the heart of the Financial District - about ten years   
   later.  It lasted there for a number of years but it eventually was   
   removed.
