(Nowadays Greyhound       > buses use several gates from the lower level.)                     Are you sure about that?              In Empire on the Hudson, a history of the Port Authority,       it said Greyhound had a terminal next to Penn Sta the city       wanted to shut down as part of the PABT project. It wanted       all bus carriers to move so nobody would have an advantage.       Greyhound fought it, but eventually had to move.              The bus carriers didn't like the idea of giving up more       convenient corner drops, but since they all had to share,       it made it tolerable. Apparently, going into PABT didn't       hurt business since they've had to expand PABT twice since       it opened to accommodate the high volume, while the railroads       declined.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
