It seems unlikely you had business in any of the cities.              30th St. Station isn't convenient to either downtown or the university!       I've been to Philadelphia for the day at least three times -- always       by car.              I was in DC in October for my aunt's interment at Arlington. Both the       ceremony and the celebratory dinner were on a Saturday (morning and       afternoon). My cousin who made (and paid for) the arrangements had us       travel on Friday and Sunday.              Incidentally, Amtrak charged a huge amount for my ticket -- possibly       because I made the reservation less than a month before, but possibly       because for some reason I was booked southbound on the through train       to Miami (or some such) rather than a regular NEC trainl it wasn't       even listed on the NY - DC timetable. (Northbound was regular.)              I board in Newark, of course. NYPenn is unbearable.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
