   Well, yeah, and Penn Station isn't close to Wall St, NYU, or Columbia,   
   either.   
      
   With an Amtrak ticket you get a free transfer from 30th St on any   
   SEPTA train to the two center city stations, or you can use the   
   Market-Frankford subway.  To UPenn you take the trolley to 37th st.   
      
   In DC, Union Station is walking distance from most of the federal   
   buildings, and a few stops on the red line to Dupont Circle.

   Ugh.  I've seen enough of the NJ Turnpike for several lifetimes.

   According to the schedule, the Florida trains don't allow local   
   traffic between NY and DC.  Maybe it was the Carolinean.  Either way,   
   the fares are the same as for any other non-Acela, but the cheap tix   
   tend to sell out early.
