   Ok, I just checked my itinerary from October, Newark <=> DC was 3 1/4 hr,   
   add 15 min for NYP. That's 7 hours of travel.   
      
   And you left off the getting to Penn Station before 7 am (never mind the   
   getting home from there at night).   
      
   It's not better than staying overnight.
