   The WMSC supports Metrorail's actions today that provide for the safety of   
   Metrorail riders and workers.   
      
   Last month, the WMSC's Audit of Rail Operations identified that Metrorail is   
   not meeting its operational refresher training and recertification requirements   
   (Finding 6)   
      ...   
   After issuing that audit, the WMSC learned and communicated to Metrorail   
   leadership that Metrorail had stopped train operator recertifications entirely.   
         .....   
   The report says Metrorail leadership weren't aware that this was(n't)   
   happening. I'm not sure that's better than if they were aware.

   Gotta wonder   
   a: how much pensionable overtime did all these folk and   
       their instructors sign off on for courses they never   
       attended or taught,   
      
   b: how many other groups (ranging from the fuzz to fire   
       to health inspectors, etc., etc., etc.) are also skating   
       on these recerts?
