That is bullshit.
Buses carry nobody nowhere and kill traffic. You sound like a single
person who doesn't have children or elderly people that you need to get
around town, because this is an ignorant thing to even say.
Without cars, modern life is impossible, especially for the poor.
Buses are useful for single people carrying no luggage and not on a
clock. It is not for a busy ADULT who needs to drop off the kids at
7:30AM, pick up an elderly mother to take to the eye doctor at 9:00AM,
then shop for a new desk for the kids at 11AM, and then pick up grandma
at 11:30 to bring her home, then pick up meat from the butcher at
1:00PM, and then get home to clean the house, and then pick up the kids
at 5:00PM .. which is all part of a NORMAL day for a real adult.
That is why you see a few dozens of cars spin by flatbush avenue
for every bus. Because buses SUCK and can't replace cars.
