Check out _why_ there are no longer several       railroad companies serving commuters into the city from L.I.,       N.J., and Westchester (etc.).              Incidentally, Queens would have far more and better subway       service if the Depression hadn't derailed plans for what was       called the "IND Second System." (Ever wonder why what are       now the E-train terminal and the Transit Museum at Court St.       are stubs? They were supposed to connect and provide a       while 'nother trunk line for Brooklyn and Queens.)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
