So I just watched it and..

a: yeah, it was every bit as bad as I remembered. However,
I forgot it had Richard Schiff in it, so he gave it a small
   touch of credibility.

(I won't give the other "name" actors the time of day here)

b: it looks like they cut a bit from this airing. I've got
some vague memories of scenes from two decades ago that I
didn't catch this time. Maybe. Maybe not

c: Spoiler! But then, by now, everyone knows the original
and real one by heart... When Mr. Green asks Walter Matthew,
umm, make that Edward Olmos, if NY had the death penalty,
Olmos said "no". While this was true back when the REAL one
was filmed, NY _did_ have the death penalty in 1998.

d: the quality was piss poor, looking like a VHS tape
at extended record ("6 hour") mode. Plus there was almost
no colour - it looked like someone had turned the saturation
dial to 2.5 out of ten. Or something.

I don't know where the fault lies with this - whether it's
from the ScreenPix server or Comcast/xFiniti or whatever,
but it was painful to watch.

I'll be happy to not watch this again for another 2.5 decades..
(although chances of my being around then are pretty iffy)
