   Escalators break down. It's a fact of life.  And   
   repairs take anywhere from forever to the heat   
   death of theuniverse.   
      
   Meaning anyone getting diverted to the stairway   
   has a huge, huge, headache.   
      
   Better to have broken it down to two or three   
   smaller segments, with a small mezanine at   
   each level..
