   To wrest this back on topic, the past century has proved that    
   it is impossible to operate passenger rail and transit at a fare    
   that travelers and commuters can afford. What do you propose    
   in its place?   
      
   More broadly, do you propose that food companies and drug    
   companies not have oversight? Did you knw there  were close    
   to zero deformed babies due to thalidomide in the US, because    
   it was not approved for use by pregnant women?    
      
   Have you ever read *The Jungle* by Upton Sinclair? He thought   
   he was doing an exposé of working conditions in meat-packing    
   plants, but  the main  result was government regulation of food
